The only source found showing Alfred's place of birth was his WW II Draft Card and it was very difficult to read. Starting with a "C" or a "P", maybe ending in "Hill" or "Vall.", the only part legible was "Va." for the state. He was most likely born in Rockingham County, possibly Pleasant Valley.
