Virgil “Bill” Burr, 89, of Salina, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012. He was born Sept. 8, 1923, in Fall River, the son of Delbert and Ella Burr. Bill was the owner and operator of Burr’s Body Shop from 1960 to 1986. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Nina; two brothers; and two sisters.He is survived by two sons, Danny and Allen Burr; one daughter, Myra Berry; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at Ryan Mortuary.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at the mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Association, and left in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina.
