Bethany Ella was born near Jonesboro, Arkansas, to Jasper Webb and Cathern Malinda Henley. She was divorced from her first husband, Henry LaFalier, with whom she had two children, Ernest and Beulah LaFalier. She then married Frank Smith, December, 1910. Henry LaFalier and her two children attended her funeral. She died on a Sunday morning while preparing the morning meal. Her husband, Frank Smith, had gone to town and when he returned home, he found his wife lying across the bed dead. She died at the young age of 37 years of heart disease. Henry LaFalier was part Cherokee so Bethany's two children are of Cherokee heritage. BURIAL 12/3/1914
