Cheryl Bruffey Baker, formerly of Kinston, passed away Monday morning, September 15, 2014. She was predeceased by her parents, Vernon J. and Martha M. Bruffey of Kinston and by a sister, Susan B. Vestal. She is survived by her husband, Don A. Baker; daughter Donna Baker McCarthy of Tampa, Florida; and son, Anthony "Tony" Baker of Franklin; four brothers, Leonard, Bill, Pete, and Thurmond Bruffey; along with her sister, Millie B. Bryant. Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, September, 22, 2014, at Edwards Funeral Home of Kinston.
