Mr. Richard Cannon, Sr., age 77 of Newnan, died at his residence on September 9, 2014. He was born in Coweta County on February 4, 1937 to the late William Cannon and Mattie Wallace Cannon.
He served in the U.S. Air Force and later was a foreman forklift operator for Owens.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Ellen Cannon; sons, Richard Cannon (Deanne), Dyark Cannon (Carole), and Eric Cannon; daughters, Lynn Tanton (Roger), Bunny Manning (Kevin); brother, Randy Cannon; sister, Linda Mauldin; 17 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; aunt, Elvie Hudson.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 12, 2014 at Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor Ken Martin officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m.
