HUGULEY - Lathon, 89 years old, was born on April 24, 1921 in Roanoke. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Bessie Greene. She died on Oct. 7, 2010 at the home of her daughter, Beth Gay Blanks in Roanoke.

McCarthy Funeral Home in West Point will be in charge of the arrangements.

Services were held Monday, Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. with her grandson, the Rev. Michael Crane, and the Rev. Chris Miller officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Zion Christian Church Cemetery in Roanoke.

Pallbearers will be her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family received friends on Sunday, Oct. 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ada Lathon Greene Landreth is survived by two daughters, Becky (Judd) Jarrell of LaGrange and Betsy (Beth Gay) (Jeff) Blanks of Woodland; one son, Pete (Beth) Landreth of Auburn; one loving sister-in-law, Ms.
Wallace (Betty Jo) Greene of Clayton, Ala.; one special adopted daughter, Bonnie Carmack of Auburn; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; five great-greatgrandchildren; and lots of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Landreth was a lifelong resident of Huguley and a member of Huguley United Methodist Church. She was an accomplished seamstress. She retired from WestPoint Pepperell Towel Warehouse with 37 years of service. Most of all, she loved her grandchildren. The past six years, Mrs. Landreth was a resident of Oak Park Nursing Home in Auburn, where she was loved by all the staff and other residents. She would spread joy to all those she met and was a wonderful wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and greatgreat-grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John (J. B.) Landreth; her son, Tommy Landreth; her sister, Mary Jim Greene; her two brothers, J. C.(Beatrice) Greene and the Rev. Wallace Greene; her great-granddaughter, Lexee Plan; t and her special sonin-law, Michael Crane.
