Charlotte Community, Uvalda, Montgomery County, Georgia - Mr. Carlos Loxie Adams, 76, of Uvalda Charlotte Community died Thursday evening March 9, 2006 at Candler Hospital of Savannah after an extended illness.

Loxie was a native and lifelong resident of Montgomery County living the last ten years in Savannah, a retired machinist, a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of the DAV and Charlotte Methodist Church.

Loxie was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening, raising pond fish, defending his pecan trees from squirrels and quiet country living.

Loxie was preceded in death by his parents, Everette and Maggie Adams, one brother, Earnest Adams, one sister, Lucile McAllister and a son, Evvie Adams.

The family will gather at the residence of Hudman and Ann Mock at 635 Mason St., Mt. Vernon and will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6-8 p.m.

Funeral services for Carlos Loxie Adams will be conducted Sunday, March 12, 2006 at 2:00 p.m., from the Charlotte Methodist Church near Uvalda.

Interment will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery near Lumber City with Military honors.
