Frank Nabers, a graduate of University of Virginia; went on to study medicine at Harvard University and John Hopkins in Baltimore; doing his residency in London, England. In 1900, Dr. Nabers returned to Birmingham to start his practice.
On September 6th 1905, Dr. Nabers married Miss Braxton Bevelle Comer, a daughter of Braxton Bragg Comer, the future Governor and Senate of Alabama. Dr. Naber and Beville would be blessed with the following four known sons:
Frank Edmundson Nabers, Jr. (1906 – 1988)
Comer Nabers (1909 – 1909)
Beverly Comer Nabers (1910 – 1988)
Hugh Comer Nabers (1918 – 1987)
Dr. and Mrs. Nabers lived in the Homewood section of Birmingham.
