Francis "Frank" Edmundson Nabers, a son of Francis Drayton Nabers Jr. and the former Miss Martha Faust, was born in the bounds of Birmingham, Alabama on the 17th of August 1870. His father had served with Co. F of the 6th Alabama Infantry Regiment during the war.
Frank Nabers, a graduate of University of Virginia; went on to study medicine at Harvard University and John Hopkins in Baltimore; doing his residency in London, England. In 1900, Dr. Nabers returned to Birmingham to start his practice.
On September 6th 1905, Dr. Nabers married Miss Braxton Bevelle Comer, a daughter of Braxton Bragg Comer, the future Governor and Senate of Alabama. Dr. Naber and Beville would be blessed with the following four known sons:

Beverly Comer Nabers (1910 – 1988)
