Edith Lenora “Edie” Johnson, 91, died Sept. 10, 2014, at Mennonite Friendship Communities, South Hutchinson. She was born April 3, 1923, to William and Lenora Kipp Davies in Bala, Kan. She was a member of Believers Tabernacle since 1970 and was an in-home caretaker.

On Nov. 22, 1940, she married Richard Wayne Johnson in Baton Rouge, La. He died in September 1953.

Survivors include: daughter, Dianne Fuqua of Hutchinson; grandson, Mitchell Fuqua and wife Amy of Wichita, Kan.; three great-grandchildren, Robert, Megan and Noah Fuqua; sister, Blanche Loberg of Manhattan, Kan.; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Richard Eugene; son, Wayne Johnson; two brothers; and five sisters.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, 2014, at Believers Tabernacle, Hutchinson, with Pastor Kendall Sheats presiding. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to Believers Tabernacle, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main St., Hutchinson, KS 67501.
