Mary Berniece Hopkins, 80, of Darlington, Mo., died on May 28, 2000, at her residence.
Born Dec. 4, 1919, near Gentry, Mo., to Birt Shelton and Carrie F. Yates Barber, she was a homemaker.
She married Fred Hopkins, Aug. 30, 1937, in Albany, Mo., who preceded her in death Aug. 19, 1993.
Hopkins was a member of the First Baptist Church, Stanberry, Mo.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and two sons, Freddie Wayne Hopkins and James Glenn Hopkins.
Survivors include one brother, Wayne Barber, Stanberry; one sister, L. Fern Walters, King City, Mo., one grandson; and one great-grandson.
Services were held on May 31, 2000, at the Johnson Funeral Home, Stanberry, Mo.
Burial: Old Brick Cemetery, Albany, Mo.
