Henry H. Althouse, 90, of Myerstown, died on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Phoebe Berks Retirement Home.
He was born on Friday, May 2, 1924 to the late Henry Althouse and Millie Althouse nee Brown in Berks. He was a member of Host Church and worked for Bethlehem Steel and was a farmer. He was a Veteran of the Marine Corps in World War II. Henry enjoyed farming with his family and the Phillies. He was a member of the Lebanon Farm Bureau.
Surviving are children Aaron A. spouse of Sharon Althouse, Myerstown, Louise Gettle, Myerstown, Rosemary Boughter, Myerstown, Thomas W. spouse of Phyllis Althouse, Myerstown, Llwellyn spouse of Elaine Althouse, Myerstown, Michael spouse of Barb Althouse, Myerstown; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife Mildred M. Althouse nee Haak whom he married October 4, 1941.
Viewing will be on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville, with full military honors, following the service.
