William F. Abbott, 97, of 4313 Libby St., Boise, died Monday, April 28, 1986, in a Boise hospital of natural causes.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at Dry Creek Cemetery. Pastor Don Driver of the Seventh-day-Adventist Church will officiate under direction of the Alden-Waggoner Chapel.
Mr. Abbott, a retired auto parts dealer, was born April 17, 1889, at Wassau, Nebr. where he was reared and educated. He ranched near Belmont, Nebr. He married Ethel Gregory on Dec. 13, 1911, at Belmont. They moved to Corte., Colo. in 1929, where he operated an auto repair business for several years. They moved to Boise in 1943, where he owned and operated Abbotts Auto Wrecking until retirement in 1969.
He was a member of the Seventh-day-Adventist Church.
Survivors include his wife Ethel of Boise; three sons, Larry Abbott of Boise, Forrest Abbott of Nampa and Wilson Abbott of Twin Falls; a daughter, Betty (Mrs. Ed) Calhoon of Boise; ten grandchildren; 31 great-grand-children and four great-great-grandchildren. A son and a daughter died earlier. The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Quiet Hour, Redlands, Calif. 92373.
Friends may call today from 5 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 9 a.m. until noon at the Alden-Waggoner Chapel.
