August 7, 1938 - August 31, 2014

Mr. Seufert, 76, Bolivar, died Sunday afternoon, August 31, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

Born in Welston, he was the son of Frank Seufert and Viva Revelle Seufert.

He graduated in 1956 from Ellington High School in Ellington. He married Shirley Lollar on September 26, 1959, at the New Hope Baptist Church in St. Louis, and to this union two sons were born.

Mr. Seufert worked at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis for 37 years until his retirement. In recent years, he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bolivar and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Viva; stepfather Frank Decker; his wife Shirley, who died Jan. 10, 2007; two sisters, Harriet Whitchurch and Betty Cantor; a nephew, Larry Whitchurch; and a niece, Gina Counts.

Survivors include his two sons, Robert E. Seufert Jr. and Galen Dale Seufert, both of Bolivar; a brother, Ken Decker and wife, Harriet of Springfield; a sister, Karen Miller of Warrenton; a special niece, Debbie Fairchild Mays of Rockford, Ill.; two friends, Wayne Bales of Rolla and Terry Gene Fox of Bolivar; along with many nieces and nephews.

The Rev. Billy Russell will officiate. Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 11, 2014, at Greenwood Cemetery in Bolivar, Missouri. Arrangements were under the direction of Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri.
