Mrs. Decker, Robbery Victim, Dies in West. Mrs. Jennie Decker, 86, of El Cajon, Calif., a resident here for 83 years before moving to California in 1965, died Tuesday in El Cajon Valley Hospital—a loser in a six-week battle for her life against multiple injuries. On Dec. 13, Mrs. Decker was taking a stroll in the afternoon along a street in El Cajon when three young toughs jumped from a car, grabbed her purse and knocked her to the sidewalk. She suffered a cracked skull, broken pelvis, fractured wrist, eye nearly knocked out of its socket and severe facial bruises. Law officers in El Cajon have in custody her alleged assailants, two 17-year-old boys and one 16. Manslaughter charges are pending further investigation. Mrs. Decker was born in this county July 12, 1881. She had worked for many years for Grossman’s, Inc., department store. She was first married July 3, 1901 to A. Wilson Kitchen, who died in 1934. On July 1, 1940, she was married to Charles M. Paulson. He died in 1963. Her current husband is Edwin A.[O.] Decker, whom she married in November,[5th] 1964. She was active in the Orchard View Congregational Church and its Women’s Fellowship and attended the Church of God in El Cajon. She also was a member of Royal Neighbors of America, Camp No. 217. Besides her husband, Mrs. Decker is survived by one son, Harold R. Kitchen of El Cajon; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Wood of New Orleans and Mrs. Ivora Rop of Muskegon; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Mamie Miller of El Cajon and another in Arizona; a stepson, Leon Decker of El Cajon; one brother Floyd L. Woodring of Miami, Fla.; and a sister, Mrs. Golda Veltman of California.

DECKER, MRS. JENNIE, El Cajon, California. The service for Mrs. Decker will be held Monday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock from the Clock Chapel with the Rev. William Randall officiating. Interment will be made in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the Clock Funeral Home beginning Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock. —Clock.
