Glenn Winfred Snare, 83, of 309 Dempsey St. died Friday, Jan. 2, 1998, at Morton Terrace in Morton.

Born Feb. 22, 1914, in Wyoming to Karl Winfred and Mary Annis Renwick Snare, he married Jessie Grace Ales on April 5, 1946, in Peoria. She died Oct. 15, 1995, in Morton. One son, Ronald, and one sister also preceded him in death.

Surviving are two sons, Robert of Creve Coeur and Richard of Chillicothe; one daughter, Mrs. David (Brenda) Anderson of Marquette Heights; and two stepsons, Joseph Allbritton of Washington and Gordon Allbritton of San Antonio, Texas.

He worked for Hyster Co. for 27 years, retiring in 1969 as a metal heat treater. He later was a metal heat treater for Besser Industries in Roanoke for 8½ years, retiring in 1979.

Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
