MRS. KIRK RAMEY
(1876-1957)
Word has been received by relatives here of the death of Mrs. Martha Ann Ramey, 81, of the late Cadmus section of Louisa Star Route, who died Monday morning in her home after an illness of six years.
Funeral services were to be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Myrtle Chapel in Huntington, with burial to follow in the chapel cemetery.
Mrs. Ramey, wife of Kirk Ramey, was born May 26, 1876, at Fallsburg, Ky., to Andy and Ann Skeens Woods. She resided in the Cadmus section most of her life.
Surviving beside the husband are two daughters, Mrs. Virgil Wells of Xenia, Ohio, and Mrs. Bruce Page of Portsmouth; a son, Drew Ramey of Portsmouth; two sisters, Mrs. Billy Blankenship and Mrs. Ben Ramey of Portsmouth; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
