BEN R. ADLEMAN
Ben R. Adleman, 76, a resident of 4732 N. Edgebrook Dr. for 2 ½ years and a former resident of 606 Ravine Ave. for 35 years, died at 1:18 p. m. Monday at Proctor Hospital where he was admitted Feb. 16.
A Peoria resident for 38 years, he was born at Wyoming Nov. 25, 1885, a son of John and Nettie Freeland Adleman. He married Myrtle Terwilliger at Lacon Nov. 27, 1906. Formerly a custodian at the Shrine Mosque for 11 years before his retirement, earlier he had been a custodian at the Franklin School for 15 years and also served on the Peoria Board of Education. He was a member of Temple Lodge 46, AF&AM; Peoria Consistory, Scottish Rite, and Mohammed Temple, Shrine.
Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Eldon (Garna) Porter of Toulon and Mrs. K. O. (Cardene) Dalby of Joplin, Mo., and two brothers, Charles Adleman of Peoria and Oakie Adleman of Orion, three sisters, Mrs. Tillie McDaniel and Mrs. Ula Hampton, both of Wyoming, and Mrs. Charity Pople of Peoria, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p. m. Wednesday at the Wilton Mortuary. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
Friends may call at the mortuary from 7 to 9 p. m. today.
