Mrs. Edward Fritsche, Sr., 59, passed away suddenly Friday, September 4, 1970 at a local hospital. Ludmila Catherine Balk was born May 20, 1911 in Winneshiek County, Iowa to Baptist and Mary (Vollman) Balk. She married Edward Fritsche and to this union six daughters and four sons were born.
Ludmila is survived by her husband, six daughters; Elizabeth Berns, Ann Rink, Rose Wander, Theresa Morel and Mary and Margaret Fritsche; three sons, Robert, William and Edward Fritsche; two sisters, Mrs. Ralph Kozelka and Sister Mary; four brothers, Carl, Joseph, Louis and William Balk. and 12 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Charles, in 1948.
