Dawkins, Edwin, age 68, of Shelby, AL, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2014. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Bolton Funeral Home with Dr. Donnell Brown and Bro. Andrew Cummins officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 9, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bolton Funeral Home.
Mr. Dawkins is preceded in death by his wife, Lou Ann (Jones) Dawkins; parents, Alvie and Wilma Dawkins; brother, Charles Dawkins and sisters, Mae Harrell, Betty Genry and Carolyn Jones. He is survived by his sisters, Doris Brown, Nell (Hilton) Nelson, Faye Grizzell, Linda (Wayne) Phillips; brothers, Bruce Dawkins, Donald (Landa) Dawkins and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
