Walter served in the U.S. Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He also served in the Merchant Marines. He was employed at Smith Meter for 27 years, retiring in 1992. Walter was a member of American Legion, Carl Neff Post #571 and a Life Member of the Siebenbuerger Club. He enjoyed working with wood, was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan, loved music, and enjoyed the dirt auto race tracks.
Preceded in death by a sister, Marie Rauenstrauch and two brothers, Wilbur and Lawrence Weber.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rose Dengel Weber; one daughter, Janet Homan (Gregory) of Harborcreek Twp.; one son Joseph Weber (Natalie) of Erie; one sister, Dorothy Harmon of Georgia; his brother-in-law, William Dengel (Linda); four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Interment will take place at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
