Funeral services for MABLE L. CHAFFIN, 85, of Woodward, will be held Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004 at 2 p.m. at the College Hill Church of Christ with Hartsell Johnson, Jim Rucker and Jay Tyree officiating. Interment will be in the Aline Star Cemetery, Aline, Oklahoma. Wharton Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Mable L., daughter of Harriet Ermina Maude (Williams) and John Howard Kershner, was born August 31, 1919, at her home near Carmen. She passed away on Nov. 30, 2004 at the Alva Share Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six sisters, Georgia, Mary, Martha, Daisy, Lillie, and Clara; and seven brothers, Howard, Fred, Charlie, Johnny, Eddie, John H., and Robert.
Mable is survived by her husband Elmer, of the home; son Charles Allen of Clarksville, Texas; three grandchildren and their spouses, Connie and Tom Foote of Alva, Michael and Wendy Allen of Dacoma, and Becky and Joe McCray
of Alva; four great grandchildren, Colton and Trevor Foote of Alva, Gina and Tim Allen of Dacoma; two stepsons: Dwain and Lauretta Chaffin of Sherman, Texas, and Dwight and Linda Chaffin of Los Fresnos, Texas; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
