Born in Hibbing, MN, she was a daughter of the late Wellington W. and Amy E. (Hogan) Beebe.
Mrs. de Wildt was the head School Librarian for the Town of Narragansett for many years, retiring in 1982. She served in the United States Navy during World War II.
Surviving are three daughters, Beryl M. Johnston of Narragansett, Donna L. Olden of New Hampshire, and Susan J. Simon of Exeter; a son, Peder H. de Wildt of Maine; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Neil Beebe, Wayne Beebe, Frances Carlson, Iva Forsmark, Amy Conklin, Beryl Russell and Jeannette Roe.
A funeral service will be held at 10 am Monday, September 15th at the Peace Dale Congregational Church, 261 Columbia Street, Peace Dale. Burial with military honors will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Sunday, 3-5 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project (www.woundedwarriorsproject.org) or the American Red Cross Association (www.redcross.org).
