John O'Malley, age 51, a native of Orange, died suddenly at his home at 1424 Tenth street in Port Arthur around 1:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon. He was found dead in his bathroom about 3:15 yesterday afternoon. Funeral services were held at the Hampton company funeral home with Rev A O Moore, pastor of the First Baptist church of Port Arthur, officiating. The body was brought to the Depwe cemetery in this city for burial. A brief burial service will be held at the grave. The deceased left Orange about twenty years ago, he having been formerly employe dby the Orange Telephone company as linesman for many years. He had been superintendent of properties of the Port Arthur independent school district for the past 18 years. Surviving the deceased are two nephews, Leslie and Charles Crenshaw of Fomont, Texas; five nieces, Mrs E Stewart, Mrs George Fletcher and Miss Myrie Lee, all of Many, La.; Mrs B Brement of Turkey, Texas, and Mrs C Edgerton of The Grove.

Married Clora Peveto in 1906 and divorced in 1921 after he left her for a coworker Lorena Nicholson. Married Lorena in 1922 and had one son Robert O'Malley 1922-. Must have divorced Lorena by 1933 because she or the son are not listed as survivors in his obituary.
