Herbert N. Hibbard passed away peacefully on 4-11-2014 at Country View Nursing Facility in Hampton, Ia. He was a World War II Veteran in the U.S.M.C. and served in the Central Pacific. Herbert was born in Kelso, Ark. Nov. 10, 1920. He grew up in Riverside, Ca. area with his 10 brothers and sisters. Herbert"s journey in life took him to Kansas, Nebraska, California, Nevada, Missouri and Iowa. Herbert and his wife, Eloise, retired in 1985 in Southern Missouri and he later moved to Hampton, Ia. to be closer to his family in 2012. Herbert is survived by 3 children, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Herbert will be buried at the Van Meter National Cemetery near Des Moines, Iowa.
