He was born at Wood Creek where he was a farmer until his retirement about 15 years ago when he came here. He was well known and enjoyed a large circle of friends. He attended the M. E. Church.
Surviving besides his widow, who was formerly Mrs. Pauline Seigel Briggs, are a son Harold Totten at home; and two stepdaughters, Mrs. Anna Senn and Mrs. Nettle Fargo both of this place.
