OBIT: Whitney - Lila E. Anderson, 88, of Aquilla, died Saturday, May 12, 2001. Services will be at ll a.m. Tuesday, May 15, at Marshall & Marshall, Funeral Directors with the Rev. Robert Moran and the Rev. W.L. Armstrong officiating. Burial at New Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, John H. Anderson of Aquilla; daughters, Vonceil Smith and husband of Waco, Beth Hudson of China Spring; grandchildren, Bill Stefka and wife Betty, Keith Stefka and wife Rona, Greg Husdon and wife Melissa and Elisabeth Hudson; eight grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
We can only be so lucky that we were a part of a life filled with love, generosity, selflessness and caring support. Of her 88 years, 64 were spent as a loving wife and friend to John and devoted mother of Vonceil and Beth. A tireless grandmother of four and many years as a great and great-great-grandmother. Her life was filled with joy from many friendships in her community and at Lebanon United Methodist Church where she was a member all of her life.
