Glen Dale Michaels, 82 of Chipley, FL passed from this life on June 1, 2014 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama. Glen was born January 29, 1932 in Dwight, Illinois to Ray and Florence (Darm) Michaels.

He had lived in the panhandle for twenty years since coming from St. Louis, Missouri.

He served in the United States Air Force and worked as a Federal Civil Service Supervisor. He was a First Congressionalist and member of the Chipley Garden Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Ray and Florence Michaels; son: Glen Michaels Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years: Sarah Michaels of Chipley, Florida; son: Richard Michaels and wife Beth of New Hope, Florida; brother: Leslie Michaels of Aurora, Colorada; two sisters: Mary Lydigsen of Selah, Washington, Jean Henderson of Sequim, Washington; two grandchildren: Daniel G. Michaels and Joseph D. Michaels; great grandchild: Colin Michaels.

Memorialization will be by cremation. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley in charge of arrangements.
