Died, Monday, August 4, after a lingering illness, Senath, wife of Paul Black, Esq., aged forty-seven years. Mrs. Black was a daughter of George I. Baum, a former resident of this place, and a niece of Daniel and David Baum. She was born in Cass county in 1832, and at an early age moved with her parents and located near the place where she spent her last days. She was a member of the Presbyterian church, a consistent Christian, kind mother and affectionate wife, and respected by all who knew her. She was buried on Monday, from the residence, in the Masonic cemetery Rev. L.B. Robinson, officiating.
