Reed Leon Frost 1926 - 2013
Born in Bluffdale, Utah, Reed was the second of five children of Clarence and Zelma Frost. He was a graduate of Jordan High School, attended Brigham Young University and received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Denver in 1952. Reed was a long-time attorney and district court judge in Farmington, New Mexico. He retired to Salt Lake City in 1994. On August 28, 1951 he married his sweetheart, Arcilee Tanner, and loved and enjoyed her companionship for 62 years. Reed was a voracious reader, ferocious tennis player, skier, ballplayer and world traveler. He was a huge sports fan and attended major sporting events all over the world. He served a Spanish-speaking mission to the Spanish- American Mission, and taught the gospel across the Southwest United States. His great passion was for his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He also loved his extended family and joyed in the company of his aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers and sisters. Reed is survived by his wife, Arcilee; his children, Dan (Pam), Julie Nelson, Mary Jane Eastin and Katy Jones (Dow); 14 grandchildren; and 4 1/2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at noon, Monday March 11 at the Cottonwood 11th ward chapel, 1832 East, 6400 South, Murray, Utah. A viewing will be held beforehand at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in the name of Reed Leon Frost to be sent to the Utah Food Bank, 3150 South 900 West, Salt Lake City UT 84119.
