Son of Dennis Corley, Martin arrived in New York from Ireland in April 1854 along with his mother, Margaret and siblings, Michael, Peter, Thomas and Catherine. Martin married Margaret Barrett in LaSalle County, Illinois in 1861. They divorced sometime after 1880. On July 31, 1903 in Chicago, Illinois, Martin married Josie (Josephine) LaRosa.
