GREENVILLE Mary Elizabeth Parker Seago, 89, died February 26, 2006. She was the widow of Stanley Seago. The funeral service was conducted Wednesday in the Wilkerson Funeral chapel. Graveside services followed in the Potecasi Baptist church cemetery near Woodland. Wilkerson Funeral Home was in charge. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834; or Immanuel Baptist Church, 1101 S. Elm Street, Greenville, NC 27858. Mrs. Seago taught English in high schools of North Carolina and Virginia for several years. At the time of her retirement in 1980, she was a supervisor in the N.C. State Department of Social Security Disability. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Stanley Eugene Seago of Winterville and Stephen Parker Seago of Orangeburg, SC; a brother, Cola Harrell Parker of Woodland; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
