Bill G. Adkins

Bill G. Adkins, 62, of 204 Lafayette Place, Forest, died Monday, March 22, 1999 at his residence.

Born in Logan, W.Va., Sept. 8, 1936, he was a son of the late Guyal Adkins and Ottie Mae Bryant Adkins and was the husband of Charlotte H. Adkins.

Mr. Adkins was a security consultant for Allied Security Systems, a member of the Home Builders Association, a former owner of Kentucky Fried Chicken and Lendys Restaurants and a member of F.S.E.A.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Diane A. Winks and her husband, Randy of Forest; two sisters, Barbara Black and Linda Markham both of Roanoke and his grandson, Joshua Winks.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Diuguid Waterlick Chapel with the Rev. Mark W. Beck officiating. Interment will take place at 2:30 p.m. in the Blue Ridge Gardens Cemetery, Roanoke.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
