Rebecca Young married Daniel Hammond on 11 Sep 1845 in Muskingum County, Ohio. Her parents are not known. Per her obit, she was born in Pennsylvannia and "early in life moved to Guernsey County and resided there for 15 years" before moving to Zanesville. Daniel and Rebecca were the parents of 8 children: Louisa Hammond, Sarah Hammond Shiplett, Mary Hammond, Peter Wright Hammond, Samuel Hammond, Elvira Hammond, Matthew Hammond and Charles Lewis Franklin Hammond. Sadly, Rebecca outlived all but two of her children.
