Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at First Lutheran Church, Bemidji with Pastor Corey Fuhrman officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Monday, June 30, 2014 at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Aardahl Lutheran Cemetery, Bemidji, MN.
Theodore William Thorson Jr. was born October 1, 1950 in St. Paul, MN to Theodore Winton and Margaret (Anderson) Thorson. He grew up in Wisconsin and Illinois. He came to Bemidji in 1966 where he graduated from Bemidji High School and Bemidji State University with a degree in instrumental music. On December 19, 1970 he married Cynthia Premo in Bemidji. They lived in Bemidji where he worked for Premo Construction and taught instrumental music. They later divorced and on April 10, 1996 he married Carolyn Kroll in Bemidji. His joys included playing with the Shades of Soul Band, riding motorcycles, reading, doing crossword puzzles, poetry and music including the Native American flute. One of the greatest joys was to be director of the Senior Bell Choir and singing with the choirs of the church.
