Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Conway C. Thorne on April 7, 2007; one daughter, Regina Thorne Tavener and four sisters, Elsie, June, Jane and Velma and one brother, Paul Berry. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Helen was owner and operator of the Surplus Center. She also was active in the Annandale and Springfield, VA Surplus Centers. She was a member of the Brake Church of the Brethren, Dorcas, WV.
