Jacob B. Offenbacker Services Wednesday-

"Funeral services with Masonic rites were held at the New Liberty Church at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon, March 9, for Jacob B. Offenbacker, a retired farmer of Mound City The Rev. Ronald Hornecker officiated. Interment was in the New Liberty Cemetery.

Jacob B. Offenbacker, the son of Thomas and Sarah Offenbacker, was born October 29, 1881, and died March 6, 1966 in the Methodist hospital, St. Joseph, at the age of 84 years, 4 months, and 14 days. He was a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church.

A 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, Mr. Offenbacker had been a member of the Mound City lodge for over fifty years. He had also received his sixty-year pin as an Odd Fellow.

Survivors include his wife, Anna; one brother, Vernon Offenbacker, and one sister, Mrs. Julia Leibert, both of Mound City; a nephew, Harry Wright of Rockville, Mo., who had been reared in the home since early childhood; also a number of other nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers were Woodrow Marshall, Harold and Loren Offenbacker, Kenneth Nauman, and Greg Irwin."
