He is survived by his wife, Leona Sowder James; one son; two brothers, Joseph and Clyde James; five sisters, Myrtle Tucker, Ruby O'Dear, Alice French, Eva French and Irene Owens.
He served four years in the United States Air Force during WW II.
He had been an electrician for General Electric, Evandale, Ohio, for the past 32 years, retiring in December 1983.
