Thomas John Trainer passed away at his residence on September 1, 2009 at the age of 84. He was born on October 2, 1924 in Chester, PA., to Howard and Elizabeth (Cassidy) Trainer.

Following high school, Tom enlisted in the United States Navy serving almost three years, being honorably discharged as an Electricians Mate Second Class. Tom then went to work for the Scott Paper Company where he worked for over 40 years, retiring as a Foreman.

Tom and His wife Diana moved to Lake Havasu City 24 years ago. Prior to moving to Arizona they resided in Collingdale, Delaware, PA. Tom was a member of American Legion Post 81 and he loved to go dancing with Diana.

Tom is survived by his wife of 26 years, Diana. Daughters Thea Smith and her husband Cliff of Connecticut, Patti Schaffer and her husband Lyle of Delaware; step-daughters Donna Emery and Debbie Van Der Veer both of Grandville Summit, PA.; step-sons David Coffin and his wife Katherine of Bedford Hills, NY and Dana Coffin and his wife Cheryl of Lansdowne, PA; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and his two furry friends at home, Penny and Poncho.

No Services will be held, however donations may be made in Tom's name to St. Peter the Aleut Greek Orthodox Church, 2091 Sandwood Drive, Lake Havasu City, AZ.
