Jose was born on December 14, 1921 in San Benito, Texas. He was the son of Eusebio and Inez (Vasquez) Aguilar.
He graduated from San Benito High School in 1940.
He enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps on July 18, 1941 at Fort Sam Houston in Texas. He was enlisted as a Private and discharged as a SSGT, on 15 November 1945.
On 2 July 1945 Jose married Rose Evelyn Aguilar (Maiden name and location unknown). They wer divorced on 9 July 1968, at Bexar, Texas.
Then on 24 February 1968 he married Felicitas Pena in Cameron, Texas. She preceded him in death in 2006.
Jose worked for 45 years in San Antonio, Texas as an Insurance Salesman, retiring in 1985 Jose was an insurance salesman, but he was not your typical insurance salesman. His motivation was different. He worked mostly with the poor. His primary goal was not to make a lot of money, but to provide the poor with affordable insurance to cover their burial when their time came, and to provide for their family.
Surviving are sons David (Cindy) and Michael; daughters Sandra (Don) and Beverly (Eddie); brother Henry (Elvira); sister Lucia; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by infant grandson James and brothers Joe & Abel.
Jose passed away on November 1, 2009, in Retsil, Washington, at the age of 87, and is buried in the Washington Veterans Home Cemetery in Port Orchard.
