Sarah Jane (Tarlton) Gulledge, first wife of William Hubbard Gulledge, was born about 1803, and died about 1869. A Jane Gulledge appears in the 1870 Mortality Schedule as having died within the past year, and her son Edward said that she died soon after the Civil War ended. Her parents are not known. She is buried beside her husband at their farm in Anson County. Click photo for more details.
