Son of Elijah Simonds and Abigail.
Conflicting suggestions have been received concerning David Simonds date of death. Some researchers believe he died June 20, 1869; the gravestone is engraved July 20.

David and his brother, Asa, moved to Manchester in 1802 or 1803. Anna and David married on February 26, 1811 in Jaffrey, New Hampshire.

Some transcripts of records suggest he died in Vermont, while family history accounts state he died in New Ipswich, New Hampshire.
