Thelma E. Strohm, 99, a resident at Green Ridge Village, and formerly of Fish Hatchery Road, Newville, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014 in the home.

Born Wednesday, November 4, 1914 in Shippensburg, Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late G. Emory and Bertha I. Guyer Kann.

Thelma was a 1933 graduate of the Shippensburg High School. She was a member of the Big Spring Presbyterian Church, Newville and a member of the First Court Chapter # 470, Order of the Eastern Star, Shippensburg for over 50 years.

Survivors include one son; Robert A. Strohm, Jr., of York, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Strohm, Sr., who died January 31, 1997, one son, Edmund C. Strohm, Sr., who died September 21, 1994, four brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., with the Rev. William C. Beck officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Big Spring Presbyterian Church, 25 Corporation Street, Newville, PA 17241.
