(special thanks to Wes Jarrett for the following info) - Thomas Dudley Watkins was born 1842 in Jefferson County, Alabama to Daniel Watkins and Drucilla Byars. He died 1863 at the Acadamy Hospital at Chattanooga. His parents and four other brothers are buried at Union Hill cemetery in Homewood, Jefferson County, Alabama. These five brothers served the 28th Regiment Alabama Infantry.
