Charlie "Babe" Yount, 78, of Rt. 1, Lexington, passed away (Sunday) in his home. Services were held in Condra Funeral Home, Taylor, Texas. Burial followed in the family plot at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Milam County. His brother, Rev. Hubert Yount officiated. Babe was born December 1, 1906, the son of William Thomas Yount and Annie Elizabeth Jensen Yount. He served as County Commissioner of Precinct 4 in Milam County and was a longtime member of the Union Baptist Church of Watson Branch. At the time of his death was attending Shiloh Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Beaukiss Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Isie Yount of Lexington, daughter, Mrs. Janice Ferradino of Reno, NV, 2 sons, Bobby Yount of Austin and Charles Yount of Sweeny, 4 grandchildren, 2 greatgrandchildren, sister, Mrs. Hettie Yount Hart of Lexington and brother, Rev. Hubert Yount of Lufkin.
