Roby D. Eaton

Memorial service was Nov. 29 in Simi Valley, Calif., for Roby D. Eaton, a veterinarian who died Nov. 27 after being thrown from a horse. he was 33. Disposition was by cremation.

Mr. Eaton was born in Portland and considered it his permanent residence. He was a 1971 graduate of Centennial High School and earned his bachelor of science degree in zoology from Oregon State University. He then earned his doctor of veterinary medicine degree with highest honors from Colorado State University. he received his resident certificate from the University of California at Davis in 1985.

Mr. Eaton was a member of Delta Tau Delta, Phi Zeta and Epsilon honor societies, and twice received the Rod McKuen Award in recognition of his concern for the welfare and treatment of animals.

Survivors include his parents, Harriet and Dale D. Eaton of Portland; and his brother, John of Wilsonville.

The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the Oregon State University Scholarship Fund, Snell Hall 517, Corvallis 97331.
