Van Buren (Martin Van Buren) was born about 1855, the son of Alfred S. Cook and Elizabeth M. Leigh. He married Mary Terhune on 24 Nov. 1881 in Princeton, Mercer Co., NJ. He was a grocer in Princeton, and served as a deacon of the First Presbyterian Church and as Borough Clerk of Princeton.
