"Mrs. Caleb Springer, in the north part of town, died very suddenly of a paralytic stroke Saturday. She was leaning over fastening her shoe, when she fell to the floor. She never regained consciousness and expired about 5 p.m. The remains were interred in the Mitchell graveyard, near Melbourne, last Monday. Rev. Hurst conducted the funeral services."m. 30 April 1868
