Cathy was born October 1, 1953 to Neil and Betty (Sandeen) Davis. She was raised on a dairy farm near Rewey, WI and graduated from Iowa-Grant High School in 1971. On March 25, 1972 she married Greg Kohlenberg in Platteville, WI. They started their life together farming in southwest Wisconsin be
fore moving to Platteville in 1980. In 1984, they moved their family to start a new chapter in Mitchell, SD.
During Cathy's time in Mitchell, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church, as well as being involved in Prairie Stitchers and Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Cathy was known for cooking many delicious recipes for her loved ones. She also enjoyed cross-stitching and reading. For 11 years, Cathy put her heart and soul into her gift store, Dakota Sue, on Main Street in Mitchell until 1999 when she sold the store to spend more time with her family. Cathy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her favorite thing in the world was to spend time with her seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law, James Carter Kohlenberg.
