Nellie E. Edwards-Brumagin, age 87, daughter of the late Joseph James and Francis Helen Cole Bickerstaff. A 1937 graduate of Union City High School, she had also graduated Erie Business School in 1942. She followed a career as a secretary for Milo Martin's Motor Sales and Caflisch Builders, retiring from there in 1972 after 20 years of service. She enjoyed craft work and spent much time participating in the Union City Senior Center activities.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Edwards in 1991, and her second husband, Herbert Lee Brumagin whom she married May 26, 1995. Also preceding her in death were her only son, James H. Edwards in 2004 and two sisters, Isabella Kuneman and Shirley Geertson.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Jordan (Helen) Donachy of Union City and Mrs. Betty Popotnick of Centerville, two grandsons, James Edwards and his wife, Beth, and Phillip Edwards and his wife, Hope, all of Union City, two granddaughters, Trudy Hernandez and her husband, Dom, of Sunrise, Fla. and Starla Brent and her husband, Norris, of Centerville, Pa., a daughter-in-law, Lena Edwards of Canadohta Lake, a stepson, Larry Brumagin, two stepdaughters, Linda Bem and Cindy Winchell, all of Union City, 12 great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, many nieces and nephews, and her special friend, Eleanor Henry.
