Barbara Bates Snipes, age 67, of Macon, GA. died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006 at the Portbridge Hospice in Macon, GA. She was the daughter of Kermit Frances and Alethia Dean Rogers Bates. She graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1957 and was a retired school teacher from the Columbia High School in Lake City, Columbia, Florida. She was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Smarr,GA. She is survived by a son, Chuck Snipes of Davis, Calif; a daughter, Pam Snipes of Macon, GA.; a sister, Sarah B. Granade, or Kathleen, GA.; and a granddaughter, Hope Snipes, of Davis, Calif.
